i swear to god, i just want to slit my wrists and end this bullshit. throw the magnum to my head, threaten to pull shit and squeeze, until the bed’s completely red. i’m glad i’m dead, a worthless fuckin’ buddah head. the stress is building up, i can’t. i can’t believe suicide’s on my fucking mind, i wanna leave. i swear to god i feel like death is fucking calling me.

this song has so much emotion. i absolutely love it. biggie was one of the best of all time, no doubt about it.

gucci mane - “lemonade” from the state vs. radric davis

coward ass nigga, yellow stripe, you a yellowback. ak hit your dawg, no you can’t bring old yeller back.

gucci mane is crazy, but i think he’s great. this beat is infectious and gucci goes so hard on this classic.

code orange kids - “walls (we lose eachother)” from cycles

until i’m awakened by dreams drenched in reality, where i watch someone else’s hands grace the only thing i’ve ever loved. i want to burn like the sun that stains my eyes.

code orange kids is probably my favorite up-and-coming band. every song is super intense and live, they are somehow even more intense. they also are some of the nicest people you will meet. such a cool band, big things are coming for them and they sure deserve it.

saves the day - “sell my old clothes, i’m off to heaven” from ups and downs: early recordings and b-sides

if i could only see you now for about an hour, maybe just a minute. just to ask, “what he’s got that i don’t have? is it his brown eyes? well, i’ll give you a thousand reasons that tonight you should grant me this one wish.

this is one of the most perfect songs ever written. it was relevant to me getting my heart broken in 9th grade and it’s relevant to me getting bummed about girls to this day. i absolutely always will love saves the day for producing songs like this.

waka flocka flame - “love dem gun sounds” from gods of the arena 3

run up on gucci, might lose your life. i do seven, you in heaven, i won’t think twice. murderman flocka, i keep a heavy chopper. i’m down with so icey, i’m a real top shotta. light skinned rasta, move like the mobsters. rob your ass for ganja, so give it up partner.

waka flocka flame is an acquired taste. if you like him, you understand why this song is so great. flocka goes so hard on this track.

big kids - “you’re so fucking ps” from don’t be a baby

every year it gets harder to change, so much harder to change. i’m never ready. every year things look stranger to me, so much stranger to me. i’m never ready.

i truly believe that big kids are one of the most under-appreciated bands. it blows my mind how a band this good can go un-noticed by so many folks. wonderful band, wonderful people.

everyone everywhere - “i feel fine” from everyone everywhere

i feel like a mess sometimes. i feel like the worst sometimes, not all the time.

man oh man, do i love everyone everywhere. everything they’ve been releasing has been so good, especially the radical self-titled album this jam is from. this band should have your attention if they don’t already.

snoop dogg and wiz khalifa - “og (ft. curren$y)” from mac and devin go to high school

you paying for quantity, but quality is what you spend for. if there’s a marijuana-ology, i’ll be your mentor.

wiz khalifa has never been one of the hardest or best rappers out there, but he had the “weed rap” game down pretty well for a little while. kush & orange juice and cabin fever were two of wiz khalifa’s best releases, so it was a disappointment when rolling papers and many of his subsequent collaborations were released. it was the definition of “selling out” - a lot of fame brought a lot of lackluster material. on the other hand, snoop dogg is the definition of an OG but he hasn’t released anything substantial in almost a decade.

however, in this collaboration, both of them get placed on a great beat and rap about what they rap about best - weed. this song shows that both wiz and snoop can deliver some killer verses - curren$y hops on for the last verse too, but you could have already expected spitta to kill it.

1994! - “up sell the vibe” from most deaf

don’t you find it exhausting that the world at the world at large seems to change us?

1994! always kills it. one of the coolest bands out. go see them perform if you have the chance, but i’m sure you’ve already been told that by anyone blown away by their energetic shows.
